We’ve been knocked out (not literally, but almost) by the generous response to our crowdfunding appeal for the new Ship of Fools. In just over two days, we’ve almost reached our target of £2,500, which is what we needed to do the essential work in building a new website for the Ship. So a huge thank you to everyone who has already given to make this new voyage of Ship of Fools possible. We’re simply amazed by your response!
This swift and generous support has also challenged us to raise our sights and become more ambitious for the Ship.
Like every crowdfunding project, we started out with a list of essential things we needed to launch the new website, but we also had a longer list of dream items which would give Ship of Fools some exciting new features. Here are some of the items on our blue-sky list:
Integrate the Mystery Worshipper with Google Maps
Bring our blog readers and discussion board members closer together by using Vanilla for blog commenting
Make all our historic Mystery Worshipper reports available on the new website
Complete work on a new visual identity for Ship of Fools
We think now is a good time to seize the opportunity and start working to make this list a reality. We’re therefore going to raise our crowdfunding target for Ship of Fools to £4,000.
Thanks again to all our shipmates for their generosity and belief in the future voyages of Ship of Fools.
